Joseph
Owner / Lead Stylist
Joseph is the owner and lead stylist of Salon Azur, a business that he opened in 2002.
"I have been in the hair salon industry for over 20 years and am proud to have developed a loyal clientele; often consisting of multiple members and generations of the same family. I have taken numerous advanced training classes and specialize in color for all types of hair, as well as the cutting and styling of longer hair & naturally curly hair. I enjoy being both an independent business owner and a practicing hair stylist, working daily with my clients and staff to help maximize people’s beauty, confidence and potential."
He is a third generation Seattlite. Joseph is a member of the Washington Athletic Club and is an active outdoor sports enthusiast, including snow boarding, roller blading and snorkeling. He also enjoys cooking for friends and family, wine tasting, and frequent domestic & international travel. |

Jenna
Makeup Artist / Guest Services
Jenna manages the front end of the Salon and is a trained make-up artist.
"I have been doing make-up professionally since 2007, but have always had a passion for beauty and creativity. I love sitting down to teach clients new techniques and styles. I also specialize in weddings and other special event make-up."
She was born and raised on the Island of Maui, moving to Seattle at age 18. While she goes back to Hawaii as often as she can, Seattle has become her happy home. In her free time, Jenna enjoys hanging out with her dogs and many friends, and loves going to live music shows.

Shannon
Senior Hair Stylist
Shannon is an Aveda trained senior hairstylist.
"I enjoy cutting and styling hair because it makes people look great and feel awesome about themselves! I also love the creative side of hairstyling. I trained at the Gene Juarez Cosmetology Institute, then went onto advanced training at Vidal Sasson in Santa Monica, California. I specialize in highlighting, bleach and tone, curly hair, and short haircuts, and also enjoy Up Do’s for special events. I’ve been doing hair for almost a decade and still love waking up every day, excited to come to work and be creative with my clients."
She is a life-long Seattlite. Shannon enjoys being outside and active as much as possible. She loves biking, running, yoga, swimming and having a fabulous time with family and friends. |

Paulina
Junior Hair Stylist
Paulina is an Aveda trained junior hairstylist.
"I have been doing hair since 2008. I specialize in hair cuts both short and long, color (all over or foils), Up Do’s for formal or special occasions, and make-up. Having been raised in a Hispanic family and bi-lingual, I am also able to assist the Salon’s Spanish-speaking clients and guests."
She was born and raised in California, but has now lived in Seattle for the past 9 years. Paulina attends Sunday Mass every weekend and also volunteers her time with various community based organizations. She enjoys going outdoors when the weather is nice, photography, and movies – whether watching in the theatres or at home.
